My husband had a dream that something was given to him, a box with Hebrew text. The text was a prayer illustrating a prayer uttered in the mid- 1800's by someone. The prayer was to God asking him to preserve the text and defend scripture. In the dream, the box had a lamp of blue Glass but it broke when he touched it but the box with the ancient Hebrew writing on it remained. When he held the box, it electrified him. Now I too had a dream-that same night in which I also held a lamp and when I touched it, I too was shocked. It also left a black soot on my hands. My lamp was not as ornate but was just a simple brass lamp. I can't explain the soot or why my lamp was different or what it meant but in each dream, we both had a lamp.
Dreams involving ancient texts and prayers often symbolize a desire for spiritual guidance, protection, and preservation of knowledge or beliefs. The Hebrew text in the box and the prayer from the 1800s may represent a connection to tradition, history, and faith.
The broken, electrifying lamp in your husband's dream could signify a disruption or challenge in his spiritual journey or beliefs. The shock he felt upon touching it may represent a wake-up call or a sudden realization. Despite the broken lamp, the box with the ancient Hebrew writing remaining intact suggests that the essence of his spirituality or connection to the divine remains unchanged.
In your dream, the simple brass lamp and the black soot on your hands could indicate a more grounded or practical approach to spirituality compared to your husband's dream. The soot may symbolize the residue left behind by your spiritual experiences, suggesting that you are processing or grappling with deeper truths or insights.
The fact that both of you had dreams involving lamps may indicate a shared quest for enlightenment, clarity, or illumination in your lives. The similarities and differences in your dreams may reflect your individual spiritual paths and perspectives, as well as your shared journey towards deeper understanding and connection with the divine.
